Hoxie is a city in and the county seat of Sheridan County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 1,201.
Hoxie was laid out in 1886. It was named for H. M. Hoxie, a railroad official. Hoxie was located on the Union Pacific Railroad.
Hoxie is located at 39°21′16″N 100°26′24″W / 39.35444°N 100.44000°W (39.354329, -100.439952). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.84 square miles (2.18 km2), all of it land.
