Hossam Ashour (Arabic: حسام عاشور, born March 9, 1986) is an Egyptian footballer. He plays as a defensive midfielder for Egypt's African Super Cup Championship club Al-Ahly as well as Egypt's national football team.
He is a talented midfielder who has become something of a regular for Al Ahly in the past couple of seasons. He made several appearances in their triumphant CAF Champions League 2006 and CAF Champions League 2005 campaign. He is known for his hard work Reports had chosen him the Man of the final Match against CS Sfaxien.
Ashour played for Egypt at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in the Netherlands.
