Hoffman is a city in Grant County, Minnesota, United States, along the Chippewa River. The population was 681 at the 2010 census.

Hoffman was platted in 1887, and named for Robert C. Hoffman, a railroad official. A post office has been in operation at Hoffman since 1887.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.07 square miles (5.36 km2), all of it land.

Minnesota State Highways 27 and 55 are two of the main routes in the community.

As of the census of 2010, there were 681 people, 285 households, and 150 families residing in the city. The population density was 329.0 inhabitants per square mile (127.0/km2). There were 325 housing units at an average density of 157.0 per square mile (60.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.7% White, 0.1% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 1.6% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.1% of the population.

There were 285 households of which 25.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.1% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 47.4% were non-families. 39.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 3.07.
