História de Amor is a Brazilian telenovela produced and displayed at the time of 18 hours by Rede Globo, July 3, 1995 to March 2, 1996, in 209 chapters.
It was written by Manoel Carlos, in collaboration with Elizabeth Jhin, Marcus Toledo and Maria Carolina, directed by Ricardo Waddington, Roberto Naar and Alexander Avancini, artistic direction of Paul Ubiratan, direction, production Ruy Mattos.
The novel was Regina Duarte, José Mayer, Carla Marins, Carolina Ferraz, Eva Wilma, Cláudio Corrêa e Castro, Nuno Leal Maia, Lília Cabral, José de Abreu and Ângelo Paes Leme playing their central roles in the plot.
After a ten-year relationship with partner Sheila, endocrinologist Carlos Alberto is engaged to former client Paula, but is still looking for a great passion. He met the sweet and sensitive Helena. When he starts dating Helena, Carlos awakens the insanely jealousy of Paula. In addition, he is still harassed by Sheila, who still believes in a rapprochement.
Helen's daughter, Joyce, becomes pregnant by her boyfriend Caio, but the boy rejects the child. Besides suffering from the irresponsibility of her partner, Joyce has to confront his father, Assunção, who refuses to accept dating. The story deals with conflict and complicity between parents and children, represented in the relationship between Helen, Joyce and Asuncion.
Helena is the working woman facing her daughter's premature pregnancy. The biggest problem is the girl's father, Asuncion, who is not satisfied with the situation. Being lonely, Helen succumbs to Dr. Carlos's interest.
But Carlos is already engaged suffers from his bride's jealousy. Paula's parents, Romulus and Zuleika, are looking forward to their daughter's wedding, which will save the family's financial decline.
