Hazle Township is a township in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,549 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 45.3 square miles (117.4 km2), of which 45.1 square miles (116.7 km2) is land and 0.27 square miles (0.7 km2), or 0.59%, is water. It is drained by tributaries of the Susquehanna River except in the southeast, which drains to the Lehigh River. Its villages include Beaver Brook, Drifton, Ebervale, Green Ridge, Harleigh, Harwood, Hollywood, Humboldt, Japan, Jeanesville, Lattimer, Milnesville, Oakdale, Pardeesville, and Stockton. The postal zip code is 18202.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9,000 people, 3,775 households, and 2,536 families residing in the township. The population density was 200.3 people per square mile (77.4/km2). There were 4,002 housing units at an average density of 89.1/sq mi (34.4/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 98.67% White, 0.17% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 0.38% from two or more races.
