Harris Township is a township in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. Boalsburg, a census-designated place (CDP), is located within the township. The population was 4,873 at the 2010 census, which is a 4.6% increase since the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 31.2 square miles (80.8 km2), all of it land.
Harris Township is bordered by Ferguson Township to the west, College Township to the north, Potter Township to the east and Huntingdon County to the south.
As of the census of 2010, there were 4,873 people, 1,985 households, and 1,433 families residing in the township. The population density was 152.8 people per square mile (58.9/km²). There were 2,148 housing units at an average density of 67.3/sq mi (26.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 94.2% White, 1.9% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American, 1.9% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.7% of the population.
