Harishchandrapur I (community development block) is an administrative division in Chanchal subdivision of Malda district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Harishchandrapur police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Harishchandrapur.
Harishchandrapur is located at 25°25′N 87°53′E / 25.42°N 87.88°E. It is located on the north of malda district and surrounded by Bihar on the north, Harishchandrapur II on the west, uttar dinajpur on the north east and Kharba block on the south and South East.
