Hamilton County (county code HM) is a county located in the U.S. state of Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 2,690. Its county seat and most populous city is Syracuse. The county was founded in 1873 and named for Alexander Hamilton.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 998 square miles (2,580 km2), of which 997 square miles (2,580 km2) is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) (0.1%) is water.
