h3h3Productions (shortened to h3h3) is an Israeli-American comedy YouTube channel produced by husband-and-wife team Ethan and Hila Klein. Their content mostly consists of sketch comedy and reaction videos where they lampoon popular internet culture. As of February 2017, the group has over 3 million subscribers and more than 400 million views.
Ethan Edward Klein (born June 24, 1985) was born in San Diego, California to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. He grew up in Ventura, California, where he attended Buena High School. Ethan studied English Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2004 to 2009. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009, and was placed on the Dean's Honors List. He worked as a marketing executive in Israel, firstly as Content Manager at Webpals from 2010 to 2013, and then as Head of Marketing for Tracy PMI from 2013.
Hila Klein (née Hakmon, Hebrew: הילה חכמון; born December 12, 1987) was born and raised in Holon, Israel to a Sephardic Jewish family; Her father is of Libyan Jewish descent, while her mother is of Turkish Jewish descent. While serving as a soldier in the Israeli military, she met Ethan Klein who was visiting Jerusalem at the time on his Birthright Israel trip. She went to art school back in Israel. The couple married in 2012.
