Grand Genève
The Grand Genève (Greater Geneva in English) is an agglomeration that extends in Switzerland (canton of Geneva, le district of Nyon) and France (parts of Haute-Savoie and Ain) around the city of Geneva. It has 946,000 inhabitants (2015).
The transborder agglomeration originally comprised 212 French communes and Swiss municipalities. The communes located in France have formed their own intercommunal structures, such as:
