Gracila albomarginata, the Masked Grouper, is a species of Groupers in the monotypic genus Gracila belonging to the Serranidae family.
Gracila albomarginata can reach a length of 40 centimetres (16 in). Body color is greenish or reddish brown to brownish grey, with several narrow curved transversal darker bars. On the caudal peduncle there is a dark brown spot. The head is crossed by 3-5 blue lines.
These fishes feed mainly on fishes. They are solitary and quite uncommon.
Gracila albomarginata can be found in the Indo-Pacific, from northern Mozambique to French Polynesia and the northern Great Barrier Reef. It is not present in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf.
This species prefers outer reef slopes and channels adjacent to deep water, at depths between 6 and 120 meters.
