Goshen High School has a diverse student population with Hispanic being the largest minority population. In the 2010-11 school year the ethnicity breakdown was: White - 58.3% Hispanic - 37.2% Black - 2.4% Asian - 1.2% Multi-racial - .7%

In 2012, GHS was named a Top High School by U.S. News & World Report, earning a silver medal and ranking #12 in the state.
Goshen High School(GHS) carries one of the few genetics–ethics courses in Indiana. GHS is one of the few schools in Indiana offering the International Baccalaureate Program, this program consists of higher level classes. The IB classes offered by Goshen include: History, English, French, German, Spanish, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Visual Arts, Music Theory, Mathematics, Math Studies, Pre-Calculus/Calculus, and TOK. These classes are either offered in SL or HL. HL are typically a two-year course and SL courses are a one-year course.
GHS also offers dual credit enrollment courses from Indiana University and Vincennes University.
In 2011, 46% of the graduating class passed Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Dual Credit courses. The IN Department of Education only reports Advanced Placement(AP) scores not IB or Dual Credit The state average is 12.2%
In 2010-11, End of Course assessment results were as follows: English 10 64% (state average 64%) Algebra 1 - 85.9% (state average 72.4) Biology 1 - 47% (state average 46.9%)
SAT scores are around the state average.
Other programs offered include a school television station (GTV), Super Mileage Challenge, Marine Biology and Stratford Experience. Starting in 2011, all students entering high school (9th grade) will have a laptop.
In 2012, the marketing class redesigned the student bookstore.
Goshen High School competes in the 5A class (AAAAA). Their mascot is the "RedHawks".(The term "Redskin" was used as the mascot until December 31, 2015) Goshen is one of the eight teams in the NLC or Northern Lakes Conference, which also includes Plymouth, Concord, NorthWood, Elkhart Memorial, Warsaw, Wawasee, and Northridge. Goshen's biggest rival is Concord, located 7 miles away. Former Washington State Cougars head football coach Bill Doba got his coaching start as an assistant for GHS. He later served as head coach for Goshen after a stint at Angola High School. Rick Mirer also attended Goshen. As a senior quarterback at GHS, Mirer completed 259 of 420 passes for 3,973 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for nearly 500 yards and 22 TDs. He then went on to set multiple records at Notre Dame. During his 12-year NFL career, he played for the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions. In 1978 and 1988 Goshen's football teams won state. In 1981 and 1999 they were state runners-up. Goshen's wrestling team has over 40 consecutive winning seasons and in 2010 posted a 21-1 season. The Goshen boys soccer team in 2007 placed in the top 4 in the state.
