Gordonsville is a town in Smith County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,213 at the 2010 census.

Gordonsville is located at 36°10′38″N 85°55′50″W / 36.17722°N 85.93056°W / 36.17722; -85.93056 (36.177215, -85.930548).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.1 square miles (18.4 km2), of which 7.1 square miles (18.3 km2) is land and 0.039 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.70%, is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,066 people, 446 households, and 312 families residing in the town. The population density was 154.3 people per square mile (59.6/km²). There were 463 housing units at an average density of 67.0 per square mile (25.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.84% White, 3.85% African American, 0.19% Native American, 0.19% Asian, 0.28% from other races, and 0.66% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.56% of the population.
