The film stars Nicholas Braun, Zoey Deutch, Mateo Arias, Dayo Okeniyi, Julia Garner, and Ashley Judd. The film was released in a limited release and through video on demand on October 21, 2016, by Vertical Entertainment.

On May 12, 2014, it was announced Israel Broussard, Zoey Deutch, Nicholas Braun, and Craig Roberts had been cast in the film, and that Chris McCoy would direct from his own script, which appeared on the 2011 Black List. On September 12, 2014, it was announced Ashley Judd, Demian Bichir, Mateo Arias, Julia Garner, and Dayo Okeniyi all had been cast in the film.

Principal photography on the film began on September 12, 2014, and completed on October 9, 2014.
