Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch (born November 10, 1994) is an American actress. She is known for portraying Rose Hathaway in Vampire Academy (2014), Beverly in the Richard Linklater film Everybody Wants Some!! (2016). Other films with Deutch include Beautiful Creatures (2013), Dirty Grandpa (2016) and Why Him? (2016).
Deutch was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actress Lea Thompson and director Howard Deutch. She has a sibling Madelyn Deutch. Deutch was raised in her father's Jewish religion, and she had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. She was in a relationship with actor Avan Jogia from 2011 to 2016. The couple "amicably" broke up in 2016 after over five years together and remain friends.
Deutch studied at Oakwood School (Los Angeles), Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and at the Young Actors Space. At L.A. County High School for the Arts she double-majored in theater and visual arts. She graduated a year early from high school because she skipped a grade in ninth grade.
Deutch began her career at the age of 15 in 2010 on the Disney Channel original series The Suite Life on Deck as Maya, Zack Martin's love interest. From 2011 to 2012, she had a recurring role as Andrew's rebellious 17-year-old daughter, Juliet Martin on The CW series Ringer.
