Glenealy School is a coeducational, non profit, independent preparatory school located in Mid Levels, Hong Kong. It is part the English Schools Foundation (ESF). The school provides places for 360 children from within the residential area of Mid Levels.. It follows the IB PYP Curriculum
Glenealy School was founded as the May Road School in January, 1959. It was built due to overcrowding at Peak School and Quarry Bay School. It was renamed Glenealy Junior School by its first headmistress, Doreen Handyside with 11 classes and 14 staff. Originally located on Kennedy Road, the school was temporarily housed at the Victoria Barracks, Hong Kong in Admiralty after demolition in 1982.it was moved to a purpose built site on Hornsey Road in 1989. The former site would later be turned into Hong Kong Park. It continues to be one of the smallest primary schools in the ESF.
From 1990 to 2001, the school was the home of Ambassador International Church

Feeder kindergartens include Hillside. It is one of the most oversubscribed ESF primary schools in Hong Kong.. In 1961, Kennedy School was opened in order to accommodate more Year 1 applicants
The library holds over 10,000 volumes In 2015, it was renovated
Prefects are Year 6 students appointed to serve as role models and leaders.
