Give It 2 'Em Raw is the debut studio album by American rapper Soulja Slim, released on May 19, 1998 on No Limit Records and Priority. The album was a mild success, debuting at number 13 on the Billboard 200. It also debuted at number 4 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. This is Soulja's most successful album on the Billboard charts.
There was a music video for the single "From What I Was Told" which was successful. There was also a release single called "Street Life" which made it to number 17 on the Top/ Hip Hop Singles & Tracks. This album could still found in retail stores, as of 2013. The album's highly famous, yet typical Pen & Pixel cover art was later homaged on the cover for the mixtape White Flame by Lil B.
The album debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 82,000 copies in the United States. Tapp was serving in prison on a probation violation in 1998 when his first album, "Give it 2 ‘Em Raw, " fell just short of selling the 500,000 copies needed for coveted gold-record status. It's Soulja's most successful album to date.
