Navdeepak Singh Chahal (Punjabi: ਨਵਦੀਪਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ; 11 November 1978), commonly known as Gavie Chahal is an Panjabi Sikh actor from Mansa, Punjab. He is known for his Hindi film debut in Yash Raj's 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger. He also featured in several notable Punjabi films which include Yaaran Naal Baharan, Mehendi Wale Hath, Majajan and Tere Ishq Nachayva.
Born in Mansa to Punjabi Jat Sikh family. He spent his early years in hometown Mansa and later shifted to Patiala for pursuing further studies as mechanical engineer. Chahal received various offers from the world of modelling and Punjabi music industry which offered him a chance to work in music videos of leading singers from the Punjabi industry. He also had worked in Punjab Police.
Chahal participated in many pageants and won the title of Mr. Punjab in 2000. His first music video was "Jattan de putt saadh ho gaye" was a roaring success, after which he appeared in many music videos. In 2005 he shifted to Mumbai where he grabbed a role in the successful daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which was produced by Balaji Telefilms but letter He left the show to act in the Punjabi film Yaaran Naal Baharan. After this, he got an offer in the Punjabi film Yaaran Naal Baharan under the coveted Yash Raj banner. In 2011 Chahal signed for playing a role of Third son as Character namely Shivendu Kaushik in Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein Broadcast Zee TV but later he left the show in March 2012 as he had to shoot for the Bollywood film Ek Tha Tiger. He also participated in the AXN's adventure show FEAR FACTOR in which he won the Fear Factor championship.
