Garia is one of the railway stations of the Sealdah-Sonarpur section of the Kolkata Suburban Railway. It is 13 km from Sealdah Station.
You can reach here by train from Sealdah South section except the trains for Budge Budge. Garia Railway station has two platforms attached to each other in between the up and down railway track. Coming from Sealdah direction platform is on the right hand side and when going to Sealdah it is also on right hand side to the direction of the running train. There is a ticket counter and two sheds for passengers with a pay and use toilet. Bus stand is situated at the direction. The way to bus stand is through the ticket counter.
The nearest Metro rail stations are Shahid Khudiram & Kavi Subhash. It is approximately ten minutes walk from the Garia railway station. Auto, bus and rickshaws are available to reach the Shahid Khudiram metro station and Kavi Subhash metro station.
