Gandaf is a town and Union Council of Swabi District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located at 34°7'0N 72°41'0E with an altitude of 538 metres (1768 feet). Gandaf is surrounded by a mountain range, and very close to Gadoon Amazi industrial estate. Gandaf is the capital village of Area Gadoon where only the cast "Jadoon" resides.Indus River is also attached with this village. Due to lack of college and university many Jadoon went to Swabi city or to other places. Is a dry fields area and depends on rains only. It is along with a Tarbela Dam and mostly mud and is used to build the Tarbela Dam. A little quantity of fields available for agriculture purpose. A lack of hospitals in the area due to this many peoples suffers. Gadoon comes under the administrative rule on 1952 but till to date basic facilities are not provided. Unemployment increases day by day. Gadoon industrial state is available in the area but there is employment only for the peoples of Punjab because the mills owners are from Punjab or any other places. There is big need for afforestation and plantation.
