Franekeradeel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈfraːnəkəraːˌdeːl]; West Frisian: Frentsjerteradiel) is a municipality in the northern Netherlands. It was created in 1984 by combining an earlier Franekeradeel municipality with the city of Franeker and parts of the former municipality of Barradeel.
