Francisco de Freytas (16th Century) was a Portuguese conquistador, arrived in the Río de la Plata in the expedition of Pedro de Mendoza.
Born in Portugal, Francisco de Freytas, was chosen alongside other conquistadores to negotiate with the king, the supply of arms and provisions of the settlers of Buenos Aires.
Francisco de Freytas, along with the rest of the population of Buenos Aires, was established in the city of Asuncion, where he was a member of the Cabildo.
