Forthnet S.A. is a Greek Internet Service Provider established in October 1995 by Minoan Lines SA and the Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas (Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας, Ι.Τ.Ε), also known as FORTH.
Forthnet's valuation currently stands at €260,000,000 and its shareholders are: Forgendo Ltd. (45.20%), WIND Hellas (33.00%), Vodafone Group (6.51%) and the Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas (4.20%), with the rest owned by small investors. Forgendo is a joint venture between Emirates International Telecommunications and its subsidiary GO.
On April 14, 2008, Forthnet purchased Netmed, parent firm of NOVA Greece and NOVA Cyprus (DTH satellite providers in Greece and Cyprus). The transaction is valued at 430 million euros. In 2014 Nova Greece had 500,000 subscribers.
