Fonte Cônego, (Cape Verdean Creole (ALUPEK): Fonti Kúnegu, São Vicente Creole: Font Côneg, pre-2000 form: Font' Côneg) is a subdivision located nearly east of the historic center of Mindelo in the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde and are one of the city's six oldest subdivisions, it is the fourth oldest. Bordering neighborhoods include Alto Mira to the north bounded on south of Rua Unidade Africana, Alto Santo António also borders to the north, Fonte Filipe to the northeast, Ribeira Bote to the east and south and the city center to the southwest and west. The People's Palace which serves as the center of the island's administration is bounded outside of the neighborhood which is in the city center.

The lowest point is in the north being 10 meters to the southwest at the west and the highest point is 38 meters north of Rua Franz Fanon. As the size is small which is about 10 ha, its length is 397 meters running north to south and its width is around 381 meters running east to west.

Fonte Cônego is the fourth oldest subdivision of the city, older than nearby Ribeira Bote, it expanded around the late 19th century when Mindelo's urban sprawl was enlarged and up to the early 20th century, Its bulildings consists of colonial neoclassical architecture, parts has modern architecture especially those built where colonial architecture was once featured.

Its streets are mixed grid and non-grid within the hills. Its main streets are Avenida Ferreira Fortes (EN2-SV01) as well as Rua Henrique Sena which serves as a bypass route between the port and the northeast of the island, RRua Franz Fanon and Avenida Capitão Ambrosio.

The subdivision is most famous for its old lyceum once called Gil Eanes, now called Escola Jorge Barbosa which is a campus of the University of Cape Verde since the late 2000s. At Henrique Sena and Capt. Ambrosio is Praça Doutor Regala It has one of Mindelo's hospitals named Baptista de Sousa also known as the city's old hospital. Southeast is the Salesian School (Escola Salesiana). Next to it is Nossa Senhora do Auxiliadora Church. Northeast near Fonte Filipe is the French Consulate for Mindelo and the west of Barlavento which serves travelers for visiting France.
