Follansbee is a city in Brooke County, West Virginia, United States, located along the Ohio River. It is part of the Weirton-Steubenville, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,986 at the 2010 census.

The city was named after the Follansbee brothers, the proprietors of a local steel mill.

Follansbee is located at 40°19′59″N 80°35′39″W / 40.33306°N 80.59417°W / 40.33306; -80.59417 (40.332919, -80.594048).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.09 square miles (5.41 km2), of which, 1.84 square miles (4.77 km2) is land and 0.25 square miles (0.65 km2) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,986 people, 1,302 households, and 842 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,622.8 inhabitants per square mile (626.6/km2).
