FlatOut is a series of action racing video games created by Finnish independent video game developer Bugbear Entertainment. The FlatOut series has sold a total of almost 3 million units worldwide. Since 2010, FlatOut games have been developed by Dutch video game developer Team6 game studios B.V., with the first release being FlatOut Wii in 2010, exclusively for the Wii. The newest title, FlatOut 4: Total Insanity, which is announced in August 2015, is in development by Kylotonn and is scheduled for a release around March 2017.
FlatOut was first released on November 5, 2004 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, FlatOut is the first game in the FlatOut series.
FlatOut 2 is the second game in the FlatOut series. Succeeding the first FlatOut game, it first released on June 30, 2006 for Microsoft Windows.
FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage is the third game in the FlatOut series, entitled as an "enhanced version of FlatOut 2". It was released on July 22, 2007 for Xbox 360.
FlatOut: Head On is the PlayStation Portable port of FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. It was first released on March 12, 2008 and was the last game in the FlatOut series to be developed by Bugbear Entertainment.
Flatout Wii is the first FlatOut title to be released exclusively for the Wii. It was the first game in the FlatOut series to be developed by Team6 game studios B.V., and was published by Zoo Publishing. It was released on 2010.
