Flameskull
In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the flameskull is an undead.
The flameskull was introduced to the D&D game in the second edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
The flameskull appears first for the Forgotten Realms campaign setting in Dragon #197 (September 1993) in the "Dragon's Bestiary" column, and was later reprinted in the Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume One (1994).
The flameskull appears in Lost Empires of Faerûn (2005).
The flameskull appears in the Monster Manual for this edition (2008), including the great flameskull.
