Fawad Hasan Fawad (Urdu: فواد حسن فواد) (born January 14, 1960) is a Pakistani civil servant, diplomat and political strategist; who serves in BPS-22 grade (highest attainable rank for a serving officer) as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
His work has largely been focused on the fruition of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, effectively spearheading multiple infrastructure and energy projects and directing sector-wide investment across the nation.
Fawad was promoted to the rank of Federal Secretary in December 2017.
He is regarded as an expert in public administration, including conflict resolution, restructuring, change-management, infrastructure development in public and private sectors, public-private partnerships in developing countries, development of partnerships and harnessing synergies between public sector, private sector, civil society organisations, and opinion makers, district revenue and general administration.
Fawad is a Pakistan Administrative Service officer and is batchmates with Raja Sikandar Sultan, Rizwan Ahmed, Allah Dino Khawaja and Barrister Zafarullah Khan.
