Farm to Market Road 487, or FM 487, is a highway in Texas. It runs about 60.9 miles (69.0 km) from Florence southeast through Jarrell, Bartlett, and Rockdale until it intersects US 77 near Praesel.
The highway is discontinuous in Jarrell because there is no crossing where it intersects Interstate 35.
FM 487 was designated in 1945 from Rockdale to Tracy. In 1951, it extended west to Sharp. The next year, it extended west to Davilla. In 1954, it extended west to FM 1236 at the Bell County Line. The next year, FM 1236 was cancelled and combined, bringing the road to its current western terminus. In 1960, it extended south along the old route of US 77 to US 79. In 1962, it extended further east along US 79 and further south along the old route of US 77, bringing the road to its current eastern terminus. In 1965, it was relocated in Jarrell along a different route and I-35.
