FC Helios (Ukrainian: ФК "Геліос") is a Ukrainian football club located in Kharkiv, Ukraine
FC Helios was founded in December 2002 by Oleksandr Hellstein. The team quickly progressed through amateur competitions including the Kharkiv Aviation Institute tournament and Amateur Championship of Ukraine and in 2003 the club advanced to play in the Druha Liha C. After finishing the 2004–2005 Druha Liha C season with a record of 25 wins, 2 ties, and only one loss, Helios advanced to the Persha Liha.
FC Helios Kharkiv's colors are red, black and white and gold.
From its foundation the club was playing at the KhTZ Stadium and in 2006-2008 Dynamo Stadium. It was forced to move out of it when FC Metalist Kharkiv was forced out its own stadium due to preparations to the UEFA Euro 2012. In 2008 the club relocated out of Kharkiv to Krasnokutsk when the Metalist Stadium was put under renovation in preparation for the EURO-2012. Before that the club played its games at the Dynamo Stadium in Kharkiv. The stadium was contracted by FC Kharkiv and put for renovation. The new stadium that Helios started to utilize belonged to the less successful club of Kharkiv – Hazovyk which now is defunct.
For the Ukrainian First League 2009-10 season Helios relocated back to Kharkiv and рlayed at the "Arsenal-Bavaria" Stadium. The owner of the facility, Arsenal Kharkiv, later announced its withdrawal from the PFL of Ukraine for the Ukrainian Second League 2009–10 season. Remarkably, Arsenal's Bavaria Stadium is not the only stadium in their possession in the city. In July the stadium was renamed Helios-Arena.
