Ahal Football Club (Turkmen: Ahal futbol kluby) is a Turkmen association football club based in the Ahal Province. Founded in 1989, played its first-ever top flight season in 1992. Playing its home matches at the 20,000-capacity Ashgabat Stadium.
In 1989–91 played in Soviet Second League.
FC Ahal played in the top division of Turkmenistan in 1992, but the following year the team disbanded. Bronze medalist of 1992 Ýokary Liga. The following season, in which the team took the start was 1998–99.
At the end of the 2005 season refused to participate in the championship. Since 2008, again playing in the big leagues.
In 2013, the team won the Cup of Football Federation of Turkmenistan, a team led by Ali Gurbani. In October 2013 Turkmenistan Cup final team beat Turkmenistan Altyn Asyr and won the trophy for the first time.
2014 season the team began to win the 2014 Super Cup of Turkmenistan in the final match was beaten HTTU (4–2). In October 2014 was dismissed Ali Gurbani, the new head coach was appointed Guwançmuhammet Öwekow, which resulted in a month to victory in the 2014 Turkmenistan Cup, having beaten Balkan (2–1). FC Ahal until recently struggled with Altyn Asyr for the championship, but playing with the Altyn Asyr draw (0–0), took second place in the 2014 Ýokary Liga.
In the 2015 season, Ahal debuted in AFC Cup, won to Dordoi Bishkek (1–0) in Ashgabat Stadium.
