Evangeline Township is a civil township of Charlevoix County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 712 at the 2010 census.

Evangeline Township takes its name from the epic poem Evangeline by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

The township is bordered to the southwest by Lake Charlevoix, to the north by Bay Township, including the community of Horton Bay, to the northeast by Walloon Lake, to the east by Melrose Township, and to the south by Boyne City. Young State Park is in the southwest part of the township, along Lake Charlevoix.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 14.7 square miles (38.2 km2), of which 11.0 square miles (28.5 km2) is land and 3.7 square miles (9.6 km2), or 25.22%, is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 773 people, 298 households, and 225 families residing in the township. The population density was 70.3 per square mile (27.2/km²). There were 487 housing units at an average density of 44.3 per square mile (17.1/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.45% White, 0.13% African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.13% from other races, and 0.78% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.52% of the population.
