Elephantine

Elephantine (/ˌɛlᵻfænˈtaɪniː/ EL-ə-fan-TY-nee or /ɛlᵻfænˈtiːniː/ EL-ə-fan-TEE-nee;Arabic: جزيرة الفنتين‎‎; Greek: Ελεφαντίνη; Kenzi Nubian: [ɛlefänˈtiːn]) is an island in the Nile in northern Nubia. It is a part of the modern city of Aswan, in southern Egypt. There are archaeological sites on the island.
