Elena Kuschnerova

Elena Kuschnerova is a Russian pianist.

Elena Kuschnerova was born into a musical family in Moscow and trained at the Moscow Central Music School and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She currently lives in Germany. Her first performance with an orchestra was at the age of nine when she recorded Bach's Keyboard Concerto in F minor for Radio Moscow with conductor Aram Khachaturian.

Kuschnerova is the only performing artist affiliated with the Russian composer Alexander Lokshin, who wrote a variation cycle for her.

Harold Schonberg, the former chief music critic for The New York Times, wrote about Kuschnerova's "Scriabin: Etudes op.8, Preludes op.11, Poemes op.32" CD in the American Record Guide: "These are the best recorded performances I am familiar with".
