Elderon is a village in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Wausau, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 179 at the 2010 census.
A post office called Elderon has been in operation since 1888. The village was named for a grove of elder trees near the town site.
Elderon is located at 44°46′59″N 89°15′1″W / 44.78306°N 89.25028°W (44.78325, -89.250492).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.16 square miles (3.00 km2), of which, 1.10 square miles (2.85 km2) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 179 people, 80 households, and 53 families residing in the village. The population density was 162.7 inhabitants per square mile (62.8/km2).
