Elanthoor (Ellangalude Oor) (in Malayalam : ഇലന്തൂർ) is a village in Pathanamthitta district in the state of Kerala, India. The village owns a significant position in ecumenism, with temples and churches harmoniously coexist in near distances, this reflects through non-discrminative attitude of the villagers. Elanthoor is the birthplace of the famous South Indian actor Hon. Lt. Col. Padmashree Mohanlal. Also it is the native place of the South Indian actress Meera Jasmine's family.
As of the 2011 India census, Elanthoor had a population of 15,515 with 7301males and 8214females.
The village is located between Pathanamthitta and Kozhencherry. The T. K. Road (Thiruvalla-Pathanamthitta-Kumbazha Road / SH - 07) connects the town to other major towns. Elanthoor is easily accessible to the Main Eastern Highway through Pathanamthitta. Elanthoor Gandhi is a very famous personality.
