East Brandywine Township is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 6,742 at the 2010 census.

The Bridge Mill Farm and Marshall's Bridge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

At the 2010 census, the township was 93.3% non-Hispanic White, 1.4% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American, 2.2% Asian, 0.1% Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, and 1.2% were two or more races. 1.8% of the population were of Hispanic or Latino ancestry.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5,822 people, 2,003 households, and 1,644 families residing in the township. The population density was 511.3 people per square mile (197.4/km²). There were 2,035 housing units at an average density of 178.7/sq mi (69.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.62% White, 1.25% African American, 0.10% Native American, 1.15% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.07% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.52% of the population.

There were 2,003 households, out of which 41.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.5% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.9% were non-families. 14.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.23.
