eASIC is a fabless semiconductor company offering NEW ASIC devices used in the production of customized silicon devices.
In 1999 eASIC Corporation was founded in San Jose, California, and incorporated in Delaware by Zvi Or-Bach, the founder of Chip Express (renamed to ChipX). eASIC is a privately held company, headquartered in Santa Clara, California, with engineering and R&D teams in Romania and Malaysia. eASIC is venture backed by Vinod Khosla, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), Crescendo Ventures, and Evergreen Partners.
eASIC’s innovative single via approach customization architecture delivers a new generation of eASIC Platform technology that makes silicon customization affordable for the masses. Replacing SRAM based routing with a scheme that utilizes a single via, significant die size reduction can be achieved compared to comparable density FPGAs. This in turn results in significant cost and power savings for designers. eASIC provides solutions based on 90nm, 45nm and 28nm technologies.
