Dumra is a town and a notified area in Sitamarhi district in Bihar, India. Dumra is the headquarter of sitamarhi district. After the partitions of sitamarhi from Muzaffarpur Sitamarhi uplift their conditions. All government offices are situated in headquarter. People want to read Danik jagran and Hindustan newspaper in hindi, In english people want to read The Times Of India newspaper. Parents sent their children to N.s dav public school, Hellens public school, and so on. There is a small railway station situated in dumra. There are approximately 16 wards. People want to play Cricket too much. M.P Arjun ray developed a stadium where children go to play. Many development work is under construction. But the law and order is not satisfactory. Sitamarhi is known as birth place of maa Sita but tourism is not developed. People only know that Sitamarhi is the birth placr of maa Sita, they didn't want to stay here because here they face many problem like good hotels. Government of bihar worked this topic and open a hotel named janki vihar which is situated in dumra. People of dumra very good and they want to serve the country. Dumra one of the beautiful place in sitamarhi. People respect all religion and celebrate all Festival with hope and honesty. At present our district magistrate is Mr. RAJIV ROSHAN.
