Dublin Mid-West is a parliamentary constituency represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. The constituency elects 4 deputies (Teachtaí Dála, commonly known as TDs). The method of election is the single transferable vote form of proportional representation (PR-STV).
The constituency was created for the 2002 general election, composed of parts of the Dublin South-West and Dublin West constituencies. It contains the areas of Clondalkin, Lucan, Rathcoole and Saggart. The constituency review of 2004 recommended that the town of Palmerstown was incorporated into Dublin Mid-West (having been in Dublin West), and this was implemented in the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2005. The constituency elected 3 TDs in 2002, and gained a fourth seat at the 2007 general election.
