According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 6,553 people, 2,063 households, and 1,852 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,378.3 people per square mile (532.7/km²).
