Andrew Lynch (born August 10, 1991) is a stand-up comedian known for his severe stutter. He appeared on the tenth season of America's Got Talent and finished in second place. He is a regular content contributor to YouTube—often featuring his service dog Stella in his videos—with his channel having over 1 million subscribers and 43 million views.
Born in Indiana and raised in Las Vegas, Lynch graduated high school with aspirations of becoming a fully articulate film actor in Los Angeles. At age 19 at a company softball game, Lynch got hit in the throat with a ground ball softball, causing damage to his vocal cords. Unknowingly suffering a concussion, Lynch fell asleep and woke up the next day with a stutter.(pxy106.iheart.com radio interview 04/28/17). With this life-changing injury and passion for writing and performing stand up comedy, he began bringing to life the social hardships of dealing with a speech impediment.
Lynch auditioned for the 10th season of America's Got Talent in 2015 with a message that any situation can be turned into a positive situation. Moved by his performance in the live audition, Howie Mandel pressed the Golden Buzzer to send Lynch straight to the Quarterfinals at Radio City Music Hall.
Lynch performed in the Week 1 Quarterfinals and Week 1 Semifinals and received enough of the public vote to be sent to the Finals. Lynch finished in the Top 5 acts of the competition and eventually placed second behind ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
Lynch appeared alongside comedian Michael Kosta on the game show Idiotest hosted by Ben Gleib. Lynch and Michael only got a single question right and won $40 in the first round. However, they did not win any money in the second round or Head-to-Head Battles and didn't get to go to the Smart Money Round. Nonetheless, Lynch and Michael raised $1,000 for their charities.
Lynch appeared in the fourth season of the TV show Maron.
On August 9, 2017, Lynch made his late-night talk show debut on the TBS show Conan, performing a comedy routine.
