Sukavich Rangsitpol is a Thai politician, who acted as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in the mid-1990s, and former Chairman of Caltex Oil (Thailand) Ltd. From 1995, he led the successful effort to enact the National Education Act of B.E 2542 (1999) that later became known as "Education for Life " or "Learning for Life". The Prime Minister removed him because of a scandal surrounding homosexuality in teacher training colleges in 1996, accused by political rival Chingchai Monkolthum. He has fought a long legal battle against fraud and has been involved in controversy regarding a Computer Scandal and 6200 million baht Scandal that he use 14 year to clear his name. He was the 5th Chairman in 16 June 1993-24 October 1994. The Contract for the 6200 millions was signed by the 6th Chairman on 28 june 1995.
