Dominique Crenn is a French chef best known for gaining two Michelin stars for her restaurant, Atelier Crenn, in San Francisco, California, United States.
Crenn was adopted at 18 months by a French couple from Brittany. Her mother, a cook with an "adventurous palate, took her young daughter to experience Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese restaurants in Paris." Her father, a friend of French President Charles de Gaulle, would take his daughter along when he dined with his best friend, a famous French restaurant critic.
She opened her restaurant Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, California. She was awarded the Best female Chef in 2016 by world’s 50 Best Restaurant awards.
