Dominion Cove Point LNG, LP

Cove Point LNG Terminal is an offshore liquid natural gas shipping terminal. It is located near Lusby, Maryland, United States, on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, which receives imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) and also stores gas. LNG arrives on specially designed ships known as LNG carriers.

The shipping dock (38°24′07″N 76°23′02″W / 38.402°N 76.384°W / 38.402; -76.384 (Dominion Cove Point LNG shipping dock)) is located about 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) from the plant's storage tanks (38°23′20″N 76°24′29″W / 38.389°N 76.408°W / 38.389; -76.408Coordinates: 38°23′20″N 76°24′29″W / 38.389°N 76.408°W / 38.389; -76.408) and is connected by pipes in an underwater tunnel. The site also contains a gasification plant. The terminal is owned by Dominion Resources.
