Dilip Ghosh (born August 1, 1964) is an Indian politician and current president of the West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Ghosh was born at Kuliana village near Gopiballavpur of Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal on 1 August 1964. He is the second of the four sons of Late Bholanath Ghosh and Puspalata Ghosh. After completing his schooling at the village schools, he moved to Jhargram for higher education. He wanted to serve the nation & decided to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a Pracharak.

Ghosh was the in-charge of RSS in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and worked as an assistant to former RSS chief KS Sudarshan.

He has come to BJP from RSS a year back & was appointed as WB State General Secretary.

In 2015, Ghosh was selected as West Bengal State President of BJP.

In May,2016 West Bengal Assembly election, Dilip Ghosh won from Kharagpur Sadar constituency of Paschim Medinipur district by defeating his nearest rival Gyan Singh Sohanpal (Congress). Considering the fact that Gyan Singh Sohanpal of Congress won the Kharagpur Sadar assembly seat for seven times in a row from 1982 to 2011, the victory of Dilip Ghosh, a new-comer in politics, was indeed a historic one.

In September, 2016, West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh went on a seven-day trip to New York, Boston, New Jersey and Chicago where he highlighted the plight of the Hindus in West Bengal and how they are on the backfoot due to the continuous infiltration of illegal Muslim infiltrators from Bangladesh and the political backing to the Muslims by pseudo-secular political class. Other speakers in the programme were Dr. Subramanian Swamy and Hukum Singh, the BJP MP from Kairana, UP who initiated the campaign to highlight that Hindus were forced to flee from Kairana. The string of programmes was organised by US-based Hindu groups including Overseas Friends of BJP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad America, Indian-American Intellectual Forum and others.

On 16 December 2016, Dilip Ghosh was injured during protests condemning outrageous comments made by Maulauna Noor-ur Rahman Barkati, the Shahi Iman of the Tipu Sultan Mosque in Kolkata, in which West Bengal BJP Secretary Deboshree Chowdhury, Baisnabnagar MLA Swadhin Kumar Sarkar and other local BJP leaders were arrested. Barakati said that Ghosh should be "pelted with stones and kicked out of Bengal" after Ghosh made a remark about Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banarjee by saying that his party could have “dragged” her “by the hair” when she was in New Delhi, but had chosen not to. The BJP claimed that Ghosh was allegedly injured during the protests by the police who tried to stop the protest.
