Did I Shave My Legs for This? is the debut album of American country artist Deana Carter, released in 1996. It features her breakthrough debut single "Strawberry Wine", a Number One hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts at the end of that year. "We Danced Anyway", "Count Me In", "How Do I Get There", and the title track were also released as a singles. Of these, "We Danced Anyway" and "How Do I Get There" were also Number One hits.

An alternate album was released via Patriot Records in the UK in 1995. However, shortly after the album's release, the record label folded and the album was shelved. The UK version had a different set of tracks; three tracks were later used on the North America release, and three other tracks were later used on The Deana Carter Collection. "Angel Without a Prayer" was released as a promotional single on January 27, 1995, along with a music video. Capitol Records later had Carter record new material for the North American release of the album.

Did I Shave My Legs for This? is Carter's highest-charting album to date and her only album to chart in the top ten on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Strings performed by the Nashville String Machine, conducted by Carl Gorodetzky and arranged by David Campbell.
