Deerfoot Trail is a major freeway in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The heavily travelled 46.4-kilometre (28.8 mi) segment of Highway 2 stretches the entire length of the city from south to north, linking suburbs to downtown via Memorial Drive and connecting Calgary to Red Deer, Edmonton, and Lethbridge. It begins south of the city near De Winton where it splits from Macleod Trail and crosses the Bow River into city limits. Continuing north across the Stoney Trail ring road, it turns west to cross the Bow River again before merging with Anderson Road and Bow Bottom Trail. Veering north to Glenmore Trail, the freeway turns east across the river a third time, then back north to reach Memorial Drive. In north Calgary, it intersects Highway 1 and passes Calgary International Airport before ending at a second interchange with Stoney Trail. Highway 2 continues north into Rocky View County as the Queen Elizabeth II Highway.
