Dedebit Football Club is an association football club from Ethiopia. They play games at the Addis Ababa Stadium, which has a capacity of 35,000. Their original home ground is the Abebe Bikila Stadium that has a capacity of 30,000. Majority of the Ethiopian national football players at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations comes from this club.
Club is founded in 1997 as a youth project at Popularly Army Officers' Residential compound. In 2010 Dedebit made Premier League debut season. The same season the club was Ethiopian Cup winner. The historical Premier league debut season was completed with the victory of the Ethiopian Cup. Even if it was the debut season, Dedebit clinched the headline when the team led the league table until the first round of the EPL and eventually finished as the runners up. Winning the Cup meant, the first CAF confederation cup participation was on the card. In 2011 Dedebit kicked off its first competitive international match in Dar-e-selam, Tanzania, in a free scoring fashion. Unlike the goal-shy fellow Ethiopian clubs playing away, Dedebit scored four goals in the Tanzanian capital before the Young Africans equalized it. The second leg was an easy ride for the team who scored two and won the aggregate 6–4. In 2010–11 season Dedebit finished 3rd, under Ethiopian Coffee and St George.
