Decatur Township is a township in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,548 at the 2010 census, an increase of over 52% from the 2000 census in which the population at that time was 2,974. The township is named after war hero Stephen Decatur, Jr.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 38.1 square miles (99 km2), all of it land.

New Castle (Clearfield County)

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,974 people, 1,210 households, and 861 families residing in the township. The population density was 78.0 people per square mile (30.1/km²). There were 1,316 housing units at an average density of 34.5/sq mi (13.3/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.79% White, 0.13% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.27% from other races, and 0.54% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.64% of the population.

There were 1,210 households, out of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.7% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.90.

In the township the population was spread out, with 21.6% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.5 males.
